Ritters Frozen Custard expanding menu in test to attract Lunch and Dinner customers. The menu was developed and implemented in a venture with MZD Restaurant and Retail Development and Fuzion Food Group.
Indianapolis, IN, April 27, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Ritters Frozen Custard has expanded its menu.
Several restaurants began offering the Ciabattaria line of fresh made sandwiches, pizza and other items on April 3.
Local franchisees along with support from the franchisor made the decision to expand the menu.
"These sandwiches are a good compliment to our custard," said franchise owner Rachel Haselby.
Haselby liked the idea of serving healthier sandwiches with custard, which she said is a healthier option compared to ice cream.
Several other locations will soon see the new menu including, Terre Haute and Fishers, IN. Tom Coyle, executive director of MZD Restaurant and Retail Development, said an evaluation will be done on sales from the initial stores, but he expects to see an increase in sales of 25 to 50 percent.
"I'm excited to offer the expanded menu," said Haselby. "We are really marketing toward the lunch crowd."
The menu line of sandwiches, french fries, chicken tenders and Pizza was developed by world renowned chef Andy Revella who's background includes the founding of Bennigans, Steak and Ale and menu creation for Rainforest Cafe, BB Kings BBQ, Issac Hays restaurant and 45 Harrah's entertainment venues.
