New Orleans, LA, December 31, 2020 --(PR.com)-- Kicking off the new year, mumms Software unveiled the new dashboard and workflow for hospice clinicians in its groundbreaking hospice EMR, Hummingbird. The highly anticipated new workflow will put patient data at the forefront of care improving the lives of hospice clinicians and their patients.

Among the tools previewed during the demo was the new patient manifest, which replaces Hummingbird’s existing Chart App (View Patient History). The manifest allows clinicians to filter based on any criteria and improves the ongoing auditing and ADR processes. Hummingbird’s clinical features will track critical data points in a patient’s care plan such as ESAS, LCD, and KPS Scores as well as hard to capture data like vitals and measurements. These measurements can be stored and seen over time, adding detail to the patient story.

“The way the care plan, patient scores, and clinical notes are displayed in SmartChart will elevate the clinicians understanding of the patient and make it easier to provide the team-based approach to care,” said Julia Hayes, Senior Clinical Trainer at mumms Software. “The way the workflow is set up makes it very easy to demonstrate compliance to CMS or a surveyor.”

Lead by mumms CEO Leo Radosta, the demo also showcased Hummingbird’s ability to agilely approach common hospice roadblocks. Feature’s like Hummingbird’s scheduler, which integrates with the Visit Schedule Care Plan, ensures that schedule visits and care plan frequency are always one in the same. Features like DocLink (available in the Apple Store) and Cert App, allow physicians and nurses to complete and sign orders from their tablet or phone, eliminating the time and resources involved with paper signatures.
