Ron Weatherly, Videographer of 2008 NBDL Champion, Idaho Stampede to Videotape Jamaal Al-Din's Hoops 227 Summer Basketball Camp

The Idaho Stampede's videographer, Ron Weatherly of the 2008 NBDL Champion Idaho Stampede has offered to videotape the 2008 Jamaal Al-Din's Hoops 227 Summer Basketball Camp which will be held at the Community Christian Center.

Boise, ID, April 29, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Coach Jamaal Al-Din of Boise's Jamaal Al-Din's Hoops 227 has accepted Ron Weatherly's offer to videotape this year's 2008 Jamaal Al-Din's Hoops 227 Summer Basketball Camp held at the Community Christian Center. Ron Weatherly is currently the videographer for the 2008 NBDL Champion Idaho Stampede.

"The verbal offer was made last year by Weatherly, but I simply didn't accept the gracious offer. This year during the NBDL basketball playoffs Ron asked if I would like him to film my camp and I'm honored. He's a champion with a big heart," says Jamaal.

Coach Jamaal has attended Idaho Stampede games for the past several years and enjoys the exciting basketball atmosphere at Qwest Arena during NBDL basketball games. He also attended this year's NBDL Showcase featuring all the top players and teams in the league. People in attendance included former Los Angeles Lakers player Norm Nixon, former Detroit Piston Earl Cureton, former Milwaukee Bucks player Shawn Respert and Joe Wolf, the former University of North Carolina and NBA player and current coach in the NBDL.

Coach Jamaal Al-Din will make Ron Weatherly's video footage available for parents. The 2008 Jamaal Al-Din's Hoops 227 Summer Basketball Camp will be July 7-8, 9am-2pm at the Community Christian Center on 42nd Street. Guest speakers will be announced in June.

Coach Jamaal Al-Din played locally at Mountain Home High School for Ed Palubinskas who is developer of the "Smartball" advertised on ESPN and the NFL Network. Ed Palubinskas starred at BYU-Idaho (formerly Ricks College) and LSU for coach Dale Brown. He is a member of the Australia Basketball Hall of Fame.

Jamaal Al-Din's bio includes playing for Drake Wallick at Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario, Oregon and former Idaho State assistant coach, Charlie Miller at West Virginia Wesleyan College.

Fun fact: Press Maravich, father of LSU and NBA great, "Pistol" Pete Maravich coached at West Virginia Wesleyan College and later LSU.
