Gig Harbor, WA Company Earns 2020 Residential Project of the Year Finalist Status with Unique Roof Design
Contractors Roof Service, Inc., operating out of Gig Harbor, WA, made national waves with their inimitable roof design, becoming a finalist for the 2020 IB Roofing Systems’ Residential Project of the Year.
Gig Harbor, WA, March 31, 2021 --(PR.com)-- The “Tonn Residence” (Tacoma, WA)
Contractors Roof Service, Inc., operating out of Gig Harbor, WA, made national waves with their inimitable roof design, becoming a finalist for the 2020 IB Roofing Systems’ Residential Project of the Year.
Measuring just under 5,000 sq. ft., the contemporary style of this home presented unique roof lines and challenging obstacles. Contractors Roof Service rose to the challenge with installation quality of superior skill and ingenuity. Phase one, the complete removal, download and recycling of all the existing sheet metal roof panels. The new roof design required elevating all perimeter edges. Limited access to the home required all materials to be delivered offsite and strategically brought in piece by piece. Once the roof covering was removed structural engineering and repairs to the Original SIPS panel systems were carried out. A .080MIL IB roof systems PVC membrane system was mechanically attached with reinforcing perimeter half sheets for wind resistance protection. This residential installation features an IB Roof Systems 20 year Total Systems Warranty. Custom #24 Gauge metal Cladding and fascia systems were then installed to all elevated perimeter edges. One last element setting this project apart is the additional reinforced traffic/walk pad hot air welded to the primary membrane surfaces for access to safely perform roof and window maintenance.
