Mockingbird Ventures LLC Awarded U.S. Patent for Novel Electronic Data Encryption and Secure Sharing Solution

The company’s DEXUSshield™ technology enables real-time encryption, decryption and exchange of sensitive electronic data based on specific permissions provided by the data owner to recipients. Unlike current solutions that only allow data to be encrypted/decrypted at the enterprise level, DEXUSshield™ enables data owners to selectively encrypt data at the application level, allowing only the data necessary to been seen by the recipient to be decrypted.
For example, equipment fleet owners needing to share performance information with OEMs for maintenance purposes would be able, through the use of DEXUShield™ by the OEM or telematics company, to electronically share their data while having GPS location information on equipment location it doesn’t wish to disclose encrypted. Similarly, patient health information could be encrypted and shared in such a way that personally identifying information would not be revealed to the recipient unless deemed necessary by the data owner. In all cases, recipients of the shared data would only be able to access specific information based on their individual permission level.
DEXUSshield™ makes it possible for data owners to encrypt and share information without providing private encryption keys to the recipient, thus simplifying the encryption/decryption process and making it more secure. The solution also allows information to be encrypted at run-time, keeping it secure throughout the data transfer process.
