WSI Consultant Wins Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah Informatics Award

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, May 07, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Seham Yousef, a dynamic young entrepreneur and WSI Internet Marketing Consultant has been awarded the prestigious Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah Informatics Award for Web technologies. 23 year old Seham serves the United Arab Emirates as a local representative of WSI, the world’s leading provider of Internet Solutions to small and medium sized businesses. Operating her own WSI Internet Consulting franchise in Abu Dhabi, Seham’s team was involved in the development of the award winning educational website www.ikids.ae. The award ceremony took place on April 9th in Kuwait city and included the Emirates Internet Technology Group Trophy as well as a USD 20,000 cash prize for Seham’s company, WSI Ideal Solutions.

IKids.Ae is an e-learning portal for children equipped with the latest technology and user friendly features. Developed to function in Arabic and English, the website is a secure portal with multiple benefits for children, parents and teachers. Keeping in mind all ages and mental development stages of children, the website has many exciting features such as a Global Learning System (iLearn), a Discussion Forum (iThink), an area to upload and share photographs or videos (iShare), an online shopping catalogue and cart (iShop) and a multimedia entertainment and games section (iPlay). Future evolution and advancement of this unique website will also include online competitions for kids.

With its growing success and recognition as a prestigious award, it expanded to ministries and other public and private institutions, to spread across different categories. This is the seventh year for this award to be held in Kuwait and this year it was extended to other Arab countries as well.
