About Maxine Oliver-Benson
Maxine Oliver-Benson is the president of VerYson, a real estate investment firm. With almost 15 years’ experience, Maxine is responsible for educating women regarding real estate and land investing. She trains on how to build a legacy of wealth and is currently creating a certification/training program. Ms. Oliver-Benson got started in the real estate investment field because she wanted to learn how to buy and accumulate property and to have financial security for her family. She started reading articles on how to build a housing portfolio and started purchasing single family homes in 1993.
Maxine Oliver-Benson has been a community activist with Communities for A Better Environment for the past fifteen years. She uses her activism and leadership to partner with CBE to advocate, educate and protect the residents of the City of Oakland and District Seven. She serves on the Alameda County Housing and Community Development Commission. In 2018, she ran for the San Leandro City Council.
Maxine has a B.A. in Social and Behavioral Psychology from the New College of San Francisco and is a candidate for her J.D. from Taft Law School in 2025. Maxine is a loving wife for over 30 years and a mother of three. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, playing piano, cooking, sewing, and decorating.
