National Guitar Workshop Launches New Website
The National Guitar Workshop is proud to a new website (www.guitarworkshop.com) that outlines their 25th season of presenting quality music workshops across the country and featuring guest artists such as Paul Gilbert, John Scofield Trio, Lisa Loeb, Kenny Burrell, Vernon Reid, Sonny Landreth, Michael Angelo Batio and many more.
Litchfield, CT, May 10, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The National Guitar Workshop is excited to announce the launch of a brand new website. This website (www.guitarworkshop.com) is designed to assist students in finding the class that helps them become a better musician. Designed by Fathom, the website includes information about all of their guest artist appearances, dates and locations, class descriptions, teacher profiles and much more.
This year’s program will feature Paul Gilbert, Lisa Loeb, The John Scofield Trio featuring Bill Stewart and Steve Swallow, Kenny Burrell, Michael Angelo Batio, Jennifer Batten, Eric Krasno, Laurence Juber, Sonny Landreth, and more. NGW features 8 locations nation-wide with campuses in Connecticut, Nashville, Austin, Washington DC, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Each location offers a wide variety of courses, all taught by world renowned musicians.
In association with Performing Songwriter Magazine, NGW is proud to present the Songwriting Summit featuring Lisa Loeb. In addition, the workshop is offering a seminar on Roots Rock featuring David Grissom, and a Flatpicking Seminar with Grammy-Nominated artist Russ Barenberg.
Events are happening across the country for rock players. The Connecticut campus will hold two Rock Summits featuring Paul Gilbert and Vernon Reid, while the LA Rock Summit will include a clinic by Michael Angelo Batio. Former Michael Jackson guitarist Jennifer Batten will appear in Seattle and Southern-Rock Guitarist Audley Freed will take the stage at the Washington DC campus.
Taking place in Austin, Chicago, and Connecticut are three Blues Summits, which will include appearances by some of the most influential bluest guitarists in the world. NGW is pleased to have Sonny Landreth making a rare clinic appearance in Chicago. Duke Robillard will be giving a clinic on his jump blues style in Austin, and the Connecticut campus will feature the legendary blues guitarists Bob Margolin and Hubert Sumlin.
The National Guitar Workshop is very excited to present The John Scofield Trio featuring Steve Swallow and Bill Stewart at the Jazz Summit in Connecticut. This will be a rare chance to be a part of an intimate workshop with one of the most respected groups in modern jazz. A great addition to the Los Angeles campus will be the appearance of one of the fathers of modern jazz guitar, Kenny Burrell, who will be a featured guest in the Giants of Jazz guitar seminar.
Our curriculum has also expanded to also include classes on Pro Tools, Garageband, and developing a Home Studio. These music technology classes are powered by Apple®.
