Los Angeles, CA, May 13, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Altfueltrucks.com is now the central resource for fleet operators seeking current information on the availability of both CNG and LNG fueled commercial trucks and funding programs such as the Carl Moyer Program and MSRC Grants.
Working through Carmenita Truck Center, Altfueltrucks.com has supplied alternative fuel trucks this year to the following cities:
The City of Chino has taken delivery of an Autocar WX42 tractor that they use for pulling equipment and stage trailers that their fleet services department uses. The equipment is powered with a Cummins L-Gas Plus.
Culver City took delivery of an Autocar WX42 Xpeditor 42 with a Scelzi-Paramount 5/6 yard dump body. The equipment is powered by a Cummins’ All New ISL-G CNG engine.
The City of Glendale has upgraded their refuse fleet with the delivery of thirteen natural gas powered refuse trucks. The units are Autocar WXLL64 chassis equipped with Heil automated side-loading refuse trucks.
The City of Huntington Beach is now utilizing an Autocar WX64 CNG powered Macropaver system. This is used to resurface the cities streets.
The City of Redlands took delivery of two Autocar WXR64 LNG fueled Wayne Curbtender automated refuse bodies.
The City of Rancho Cucamonga took delivery of two WX64 13-14 Cu-yd dump trucks. Bodies were provided by Western Construction Components of Santee, California.
The City of Riverside has taken delivery of three WX42 Autocar chassis equipped with Dominator III utility crane bodies, their currently have two additional units on order and are expecting delivery in early June of this year.
The above examples are only a partial list of vehicles provided to local municipalities.
In addition Altfuelstrucks.com with Carmenita Truck Center has be awarded two additional orders; the first from the City of Ontario for five of Autocar’s all new ACX64 chassis equipped with the Cummins ISL-G CNG fuel engine and Amrep automated side loading refuse bodies. The second order is a multi-year contract for twenty four Autocar ACX 64 chassis LNG fuel power with Heil Rapid rail bodies.
