Local Nonprofit Leader Selected as a Role Model for Women and Minorities Pursuing STEM and Cyber Education and Careers
New York, NY, February 19, 2020 --(PR.com)-- The Cyber Institute is proud to announce that their Executive Director for the Center for Women and Minorities in the Cyber Workforce Taylor Rodriguez Vance, was featured as part of NBC’s “Unstoppable Women” series by Telemundo for their March Women’s History Month. Taylor was quoted, “I will not stop advocating and working to motivate, inspire and create change for women and minorities around the world. I am convinced that there are many opportunities in cybersecurity and STEM, which can change people's lives.”
NBC Telemundo promoted (https://bit.ly/32bhkaR) that this is the passion and dedication that Taylor Rodríguez Vance brings to her work as Executive Director of Cyber Institute, her NGO helping to improve STEM education, develop cyber workforce and influence policy policies to increase opportunities for women and minorities, especially Latinos.” Taylor began her career as an entrepreneur while studying international business at the University of Colorado where she founded a digital marketing business. After graduating she was invited to be an advisor to the US Air Force's Cyber Innovation project and her passion for cybersecurity was ignited. Through the nonprofit, she is a delegate for the Multinational Cyber Defense Education and Training Project of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). She share’s that her “goal for the next few years is to travel to as many at risk communities as possible in Central and South America to raise awareness of the opportunities and pathways to cyber and share my experience as a Latina, hoping to inspire others to follow their own empowered paths."
