Nonprofit Executive Featured as an Inspiring Latina by Avanza Latino Magazine

Madison, WI, May 20, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Avanza Latino, a national educational media organization focused on Latino advancement, featured Taylor Rodriguez Vance as an Inspiring Latino (www.avanzalatino.org /inspiring-latinos/). Taylor is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Cyber Institute, an international nonprofit dedicated to the advancement of cyber for women and minorities. She also serves as a Chairwoman to the National Defense Industrial Association. Taylor was chosen during the month of Cinco De Mayo as a role model for Latinos. As a minority and a woman in cyber, she knows that stereotypes of the industry and its careers often are the barrier for women to enter the field. Taylor is an advocate for Latinos and girls in the areas of cybersecurity and STEM. She currently serves as a U.S. Delegate to NATO's Multinational Cyber Defence Education and Training Project. Her belief in advancing cyber policy for women and minorities is evident in her position serving as an advisor and consultant to students, candidates, and employers to help them develop cybersecurity skills and capabilities. Taylor leads the Center for Women and Minorities in the Cyber Workforce. “To increase the number of women and minorities in our industry, we must help reduce the barriers to entry, including financial limitations for highly qualified candidates.”
