Local Senior Awarded First Henderson Franklin Law Academy Scholarship
Fort Myers High School Senior Ingrid Tojanci Receives Henderson Franklin Law Academy Scholarship.
Fort Myers, FL, May 16, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The law firm of Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A., is pleased to announce that the first Henderson Franklin Law Academy Scholarship was presented to Fort Myers High School (FMHS) senior Ingrid Tojanci during the senior awards program held on April 29, 2008. Tojanci fulfilled the requirements to graduate FMHS with the Law Academy designation. During her four years at FMHS, Tojanci participated in the mock trial competition, completed two college law courses at Edison College and an internship with the Honorable Maria Gonzalez. Ms. Tojanci plans to continue her education this Fall at the University of Florida and would like to attend law school in the future.
Since 2005, Henderson Franklin attorneys Douglas Waldorf and Scott Beatty, together with Howard Wright, Director of the Law Academy, have organized the Firm's efforts training mock trial team members at FMHS for the State competition. The huge student interest generated by this student/business relationship led to the creation of the Fort Myers High School Academy of Law, which creates a clear career track for FMHS students. To enhance this experience, Henderson Franklin provided a $1000 scholarship for this year's outstanding graduate.
