Cyber Institute Travels to Paris to Partner with United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)
Denver, CO, June 23, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The Cyber Institute announced that Summer 2017 will be focused on its international initiatives. Andrew Vance, Executive Director of the Center for Cyber Risk Research and Policy at the Cyber Institute, said, “Our nonprofit currently participates with European partners through the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). We believe in ensuring exponential impact to the communities we wish to serve.” The Cyber Institute intends to do this by creating an ecosystem of local and international partners to increase impact of their programs and participants for their shared communities. This summer, they are traveling to Europe on a ‘Strategic Partnership Push.’ After meeting partner members at NATO in Brussels, the Cyber Institute will attend a meeting with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) headquartered in Paris. Once there, they will formally accept the designation of International Nonprofit Organization (NGO) from the United Nations. Taylor Rodriguez, Executive Director of the Center for Women and Minorities in the Cyber Workforce at the Cyber Institute said, “The designation of NGO from UNESCO is aligned with our nonprofit’s vision of learning globally and serving globally.” In this way, the nonprofit hopes to inspire youth and young adults in research and career opportunities with peers and partners they might not ordinarily get to meet. The Cyber Institute plans to travel to several more European countries this summer to expand their ecosystem of cyber education and policy partnerships.
