BACK 9 USA Expands Line of Performance Apparel

5 New Styles of Shirts and Outerwear for Summer/Fall 2008.

Woburn, MA, May 17, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Following a successful debut of performance apparel last July, Back 9 USA, an emerging golf lifestyle designer and manufacturer, today announced the addition of 5 new styles to their innovative line up that includes their patent-pending HYBRID™ Soft-Fit hat and patented TOURevolution™ headcover.

Back 9 USA began developing their own line of performance-inspired golf apparel for players, like themselves, who needed apparel that worked as well on the course as it would at the 19th hole or the office. The shirts and outwear pieces are designed with the golf lifestyle in mind.

First up is the Greystone, named after the Greystone Invitational in Birmingham, Alabama, that Mr. Hydorn battled in mid-June. The design of the shirt is a tribute to the classic golf shirt with open hem sleeves and tennis tail hem but modernized with ThermaFlow™, Back 9 USA’s moisture management technology that increases the breathability of the fabric so that moisture is immediately wicked away to keep the wearer cooler and drier.

The Dornoch offers a sleeker, more athletic adaptation of the golf shirt. Sporty stripes on the body of the shirt complement the plain raglan sleeves that allow the wearer a full range of movement. The shirt is also enhanced with ThermaFlow™ to keep you cool and dry from the front nine to the back nine.

“We’ve updated the fabrics and the feel of the traditional golf shirt to make them more modern and stylish without abandoning what most people are looking for in golf attire – comfort and quality,” explained Mr. Hydorn. “By using the technology of ThermaFlow, the wearer gets a higher level of comfort that any golfer would appreciate any day on the course.”

The Kittansett polo shirt was designed to transition easily throughout your day – from work to play or to dinner, the shirt’s jacquard design offers a little dressier version of the golf shirt without being too stuffy or overly stylish.

In addition to the new polos, a layering piece and a rain jacket are included in the expanded line. Mr. Hydorn realized a need for a layering piece that adds warmth without bulk having played at the Sankaty Head Pro-Am on the island of Nantucket each October. The Keane, also a product of temperamental New England weather, protects from elements of wind, rain, and cold without interfering with the players movement.
