Pawfriendly Landscapes Donated to San Diego Earth Works Day Fundraiser

San Diego, CA, May 17, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Pawfriendly Landscapes has donated one pet friendly landscape design worth $1,500 and an autographed copy of their new book, "Pawfriendly Landscapes - How to Share the Turf When Your Backyard Belongs to Barney," to San Diego's Annual Earth Works Day fundraiser. A buffet, silent auction and awards program took place on May 15, 2008.

Their annual VIP Reception was an evening of celebration, acknowledgment and fun. This event brought together individuals from government, industry and nonprofit organizations, and private citizens – representatives of the diverse elements of the environmental community.

The Awards Program began at 8 pm. Awards that were presented included:

Pam Slater-Price Sustainability Award, presented by County Supervisor Pam Slater-Price
Clean Air Award from the Air Pollution Control District presented by Supervisor Pam Slater-Price
Green Building Awards presented by the San Diego Chapter of the US Green Building Council.
San Diego EarthWorks’ “E.A.R.T.H.” (Environmental And Restoration That Helps) Awards, presented by Councilmember Donna Frye.

Elizabeth Bublitz, creator and author of Pawfriendly Landscapes explains, "San Diego is such a special place to me. I consider it a home away from home. In addition, EarthWorks is such a great event. I'm honored to give to such a great organization."

Each year, EarthWorks recognizes business, clubs, organizations and/or individuals that deserves special recognition for their work on behalf of a clean, healthy environment.
