Sharon Hill, PA, May 21, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Prestigious Art Gallery an internet based home business has launched their website showcasing the art work of Ruford Douglas. Ruford is known for his great ability to sculpt wood and make unique pieces of art. The company has been established to take the art world by storm with a Jamaican who was self taught and migrated to America to become certified in Fine Art wood sculpting to elevate and promote himself.

Ruford started his career in a small town in Jamaica, right outside of Montego Bay, where he developed his trade by observing the craft workers in the neighborhood. He was an accountant who got bored with the monotonous accounting life and wanted something that could challenge him more mentally. It was then that the artist realized his true passion was expressing himself and decided to become a wood sculptor.

He has won two cash awards in New York City and has shown his works at Lincoln Center, The Caribbean Tourist Organization, CMC Group city to city tour and the Venezuelan Consulate. He was also featured in 2004 and 2006 Linea Magazine and the Catalogue for the Art Student's League of New York.

Expressing himself with wood sculptures is not a job for Mr. Douglas but an addiction. This artist’s gift is something that the world can not afford to ignore. Not only do his ideas come from a philosophical perspective but he also has the gift of bringing other people’s dream to reality.
