Atlanta Rock Star Johnny Colt and Tommy Lee Greening the Planet the Rock n’ Roll Way on "Battleground Earth"

Atlanta, GA, May 21, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Legendary bassist and member of Train, Rock Star: Supernova, and The Black Crowes Johnny Colt is teaming up with good friend and fellow rock star Tommy Lee on “Battleground Earth,” a new series set to premiere late summer/early fall on Discovery’s Planet Green network. Now filming, the show is a reality series that will pit various celebrities against in each other in green-themed competitions.

“Battleground Earth” challenges rock god Tommy Lee and hip hop superstar Chris "Ludacris" Bridges to battle against the toxic forces destroying Mother Earth as they travel across the country on a 10-episode tour. Johnny Colt, a regular on the series will join Tommy Lee as they dive right into the “Battleground Earth” competition against “Ludacris” with unexpected and sometime hilarious results. In each episode the two artists will be joined by their posses, celebrity guests, and anyone else willing to lend a hand.

The contest doesn't let up as each of these stars are judged and scored on the green meter. This Rap n' Roll battle culminates in a green carpet benefit concert at Los Angeles’ legendary Greek Theater. The concert will support the renewal of Griffith Park, which was devastated by recent wildfires.
