Lydia Sofia Rechy Recognized as a Professional of the Year by Strathmore’s Who’s Who Worldwide Publication

Las Vegas, NV, August 19, 2022 --(PR.com)-- Lydia Sofia Rechy of Las Vegas, Nevada has been recognized as a Professional of the Year for 2022 by Strathmore’s Who’s Who Worldwide for her outstanding contributions and achievements in elementary education.

About Lydia Sofia Rechy
Lydia Sofia Rechy is a teacher at Gene Ward Elementary School in Las Vegas, Nevada. With 25 years' experience, Mrs. Rechy is responsible for teaching all kindergarten core curriculum targeting academics, physical, social, and emotional development. She assists with the design of digital resources for the instruction and support of ELL, face to face and virtual instruction. Other aspects of Rechy’s role include collaborating with colleagues to determine the adequate flow of curriculum and differentiating the curriculum to meet the needs of students at a variety of academic levels including students with special needs. She works with and advocates for student with special needs to receive services and support according to their needs. In addition, she teaches programs that support at-risk students and she mentors and trains new teachers. Previously, Mrs. Rechy served as a first grade teacher with C.C. Ronnow Elementary School.

Born August 3, 1976 in Nogales, Arizona, Rechy received her B.S. in Education with a minor in Bilingual Multicultural Education from N.A.U. in 1997. She earned her M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Touro University in 2011.

In her spare time Rechy enjoys traveling, baking, planning parties and events, sewing and church activities. She has been married to her husband, Benjamin, since 1997 and they have two children and one grandchild.
