Champions Instructor Becomes New Texas Real Estate Teacher’s Association President
Houston, TX, May 24, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The Texas Real Estate Teacher’s Association (TRETA) installed Dorothy Haley, long time Champions School of Real Estate Instructor, as new President on Friday April 18th, 2008 at their annual conference. Dorothy Haley has most recently served as Treasurer for TRETA prior to accepting her position as President.
“Dorothy is most deserving of this position and I can think of no other individual who will do a better job of advancing TRETA in the right direction in the coming year. I am honored to have had Dorothy as part of my teaching staff and she is a great example of the quality instructors who we have the pleasure of providing our students here at Champions. Her commitment to education and higher learning will no doubt serve her well in her new position,” stated Rita Santamaria, owner and president of Champions School of Real Estate.
Mrs. Haley has served as a lead instructor for Champions School of Real Estate for over 23 years and was voted as Teacher of the Year in 2006. She has been very active in the real estate community serving on many boards and lending her time to many causes. Mrs. Haley founded the Houston WCR 1960 Chapter and served as President as well as being voted Woman of the Year. She has also served as the District Vice President and Governor’s Chairman for the Women’s Council of Realtors.
“I am very honored and excited about being elected President by such a fantastic group of educators. Our focus is to be better educators by sharing ideas and techniques. This year we are focusing on communication. I was very happy to have all my daughters Brenda, Debra, Wanda, Carol and Trish present for the installation. To be installed by my daughter Wanda Park was quite a treat. It was also special having Rita Santamaria there to install the other Officers and Directors,” Stated Mrs. Haley.
TRETA was founded in 1976 to allow real estate educators to share their ideas and experiences within the industry. TRETA provides their members with opportunities for educational and professional growth by collecting and dispersing information on real estate programs, materials and research.
