Writer's Exchange Releases Mystery About Battered Women

Traditional Mystery set in Battered Women's Shelter -- Out Now in Electronic Format.

Denver, CO, May 24, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Christine Duncan's novel, Safe House, is set in a battered women's shelter. The heroine is a counselor at the shelter.

"I wanted to do a novel about battered women." said Duncan. "I didn't want to preach, but I wanted to make the point that we as a society have not yet solved the problem of domestic violence. I also wanted to create a mystery heroine who was a real woman, coping with problems that many of us cope with every day.

In Safe House, the second book of the series, the heroine, Kaye Berreano is coping with being the newly divorced parent of two teenagers. The reader sees both the professional side of Kaye's life and her personal side.

A battered women's shelter, murder, teenagers, drugs, and romance. What do these things have in common? In Safe House, the second book of a cozy mystery series set in Colorado, Kaye Berreano, a battered women's counselor, battles her son RJ's drug problem, her inadequacies as a newly single mother of two teens, RJ and Hannah, and the idea that her boy might be capable of murder.

Writer's Exchange is releasing SafeHouse in multiple electronic formats. (Http://www.Writers-Exchange.com)
