The Ceremony will take place on May 24, 2008 at 2 PM.

Dr. Thomas, a 1971 Vassar graduate, will share her message championing diversity, so that all facets of American society fairly represent the gender and ethnicity of its population.

Alumnae/i representing four decades of the AAAVC, which Dr. Thomas helped create, will be on hand to bestow the ceremonial cloths. During this event, senior students of the African descent are invited to say a few words of thanks to those who helped them through their Vassar journeys.
