Ronald Maestas Honored as a Featured Member by Strathmore’s Who’s Who Worldwide
Las Vegas, NM, November 16, 2022 --(PR.com)-- Ronald Maestas of Las Vegas, New Mexico, has been honored as a Featured Member by Strathmore’s Who’s Who Worldwide for his outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of education.
About Ronald Maestas
Ronald Maestas is a former dean and professor at New Mexico Highlands University. With almost 50 years of experience, Dr. Maestas taught management, information systems, systems and software, architecture system analysis, and design organization theory. He was also responsible for genealogical research.
In addition, Dr. Maestas was a legendary cross-country coach for the university. His cross-country teams were top ranked in the NAIA finishing 4th twice, 8th once and 2nd in 1987. In 1988, he was selected to coach the Swaziland Distance Team at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea.
Dr. Maestas is a 2017 inductee in the New Mexico Sports Hall of Fame; inducted to the New Mexico Highlands H-Club Hall of Honor, New Mexico Wrestling Hall of Fame, Prominent Hispanic Coaches Hall of Fame, Adams State University School of Education Hall of Fame and is a candidate for induction to the Colorado Latino/Latina Sports Hall of Fame. He is also an accomplished genealogist and was admitted to the Order of the Crown of Charlemagne and selected as a state historian for the state of New Mexico. He is a Life-Member to the Fray Angelico Chavez Genealogical Society and the Merovingian Dynasty. Dr. Maestas was awarded a Primeras Familias Certificate by the New Mexico Genealogy Society and First Families in Colorado.
A prolific author, Dr. Maestas has co-written 13 books on Microsoft Windows and has completed a three volume "La Fe de Mis Amigos, Vecinos Parientes y Mis Padres." The book contains some of the finest Hispanic traditional colonial art of highly skilled Santeros/Santeras in New Mexico and southern Colorado. He is a genealogist and has published over 150 books on prominent families in New Mexico and Colorado.
Dr. Maestas has received many honors throughout his career. He received a Global Distinction Award from the International Biographical Research Institute in 2015, was inducted into the California Hispanic Sports & Athletic Foundation Hall of Fame in 2015, and the New Mexico Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2014. He has been listed in Latino Who’s Who in 2015, Covington Who's Who Registry in 2014, Latino Americans Who’s Who in 2013, and Cambridge Who’s Who from 2011-2012.
In his spare time, Dr. Maestas enjoys many hobbies. He plays racquetball and has been a basketball, baseball, softball referee/umpire for the New Mexico Activities Association for 43 years working numerous districts, regional and state tournaments. As a racquetball player, he was won the National Singles 60+ C and National Doubles 55+ C.
Born on January 23, 1946, Maestas earned his Ed.D. from Arizona State University in 1979. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degree in business from Adams State College and he completed his post-doctoral work at the University of Minnesota and Indiana University in Management Information Systems.
