It really inspired me,” says Teekamp, who became a U.S. citizen in the mid seventies. The painting shows Obama and Clinton wrapped in the American flag to symbolize unity.

Teekamp paints the pair in black and white, stating; “Shouldn’t we be colorblind when we choose a leader?” With Obama supporting Clinton, and Clinton’s peace sign just visible in front of Obama, the painting shows a peace offering and much of the world seems to be loving it.
