It was a move that many SEO professionals said would never work, they said Internet directories were dying. “When we started the Adthello project, people were saying that Web directories wouldn't be around much longer,” said spokesman Pascal Smeets. “It was thought that search engines, especially Google, were penalizing directories. Other sites use what's called a “nofollow” tag, meaning links back to their customers sites may look nice, but there's no “juice” being passed on.

When we link to our customer's sites, we pass some of our PR5 ranking on to them. We're basically saying to Google that we believe that link points to a quality site.
