Bobby Valentino Releases Digital Only EP Titled "Come with Me"
Los Angeles, CA, May 29, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Bobby Valentino’s latest release “Come With Me” is a digital only EP available at online retailers.
This compilation consists of songs Bobby wrote and produced during some free time at the beginning of the year.
States Bobby ”Come With Me - is really just me in the studio recording a few tracks, no politics, no label, just music for the sake of music – something to make available to the fans” Adds Bobby “these tracks reflect all the sides of me, and what I do in the studio when there is no label involved – and its an answer to what the fans have asked me for, which is more original music. I hope they enjoy this while I finish work on the next traditional album.”
"Come With Me" will be available online only.
As for the digital only format – Bobby says “ distributing this EP online allows me to hand the music directly to the fans, which is every artists’ dream scenario”
The first single, the socially charged anthem "What's Going On" has Bobby singing about the intense struggles in the world today, but it also conveys a positive message that everyone can make a difference by doing little things on a daily basis to make the world a brighter place. The second single, a love song titled "Another Life" is Valentino's personal favorite. He describes it as a "Prince feeling" single "like The Isley Brothers, you know all them cool cats who made long songs, that's what it is…. it has that feel". At over 10 minutes long it has become the most downloaded single off the EP and is also available as a ring tone on iTunes.
Valentino burst onto the scene in 2004 with the highly anticipated album "Disturbing Tha Peace Presents Bobby Valentino". The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard R&B charts and sold over 180,000 units in its first week. "Disturbing Tha Peace Presents Bobby Valentino" went on to boast sales of over 850,000. Additionally, Valentino garnered nominations from the 37th Annual Image Awards for Outstanding New Artist, Soul Train Nominations for Best R&B/Soul Single, Male and Best R&B/Soul or Rap New Artist.
Later on that year, Valentino toured with Bow Wow, Omarion, and Marques Houston on the highly successful Scream Tour. 2005 saw the hit single “Slow Down” produced by the legendary production duo of Tim & Bob. In 2007 Bobby released Special Occasion; which featured the highly successful, Timbaland track “Anonymous” which caught fire on radio nationwide. Bobby's next traditional release is scheduled to hit stores in fall of 2008.
