CACCI Inducts CEO of PA Public Relations Co. as 2006 Business Visionary
On December 15, 2005 the Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. inducted Phil Andrews, CEO of PA Public Relations Co. (www.papublicrelations.com) as a 2006 Member Visionary at its Annual Christmas Cultural Extravaganza. This year, the event was held at the elegant Eden Palace, located at 420 Flushing Avenue, Brooklyn, New York. Mr. Andrews was inducted along with 39 CACCI Member Business visionaries.
Brooklyn, NY, April 03, 2006 --(PR.com)-- On December 15, 2005 the Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. inducted Phil Andrews, CEO of PA Public Relations Co. (www.papublicrelations.com) and President of Power Networking Series (www.powernetworkingseries.com) as a 2006 Member Visionary at its Annual Christmas Cultural Extravaganza. This year, the event was held at the elegant Eden Palace, located at 420 Flushing Avenue, Brooklyn, New York. Mr. Andrews was inducted along with 39 CACCI Member Business visionaries.
Mr. George Hulse was the Master of Ceremonies and Colette Burnett served as the Mistress of Ceromonies. Dr. Roy A. Hastick, Sr., President and CEO of CACCI, opened the programme with welcome remarks. Mr. George Hulse and Colette Burnett presided over the ceremony inducting the Year 2006 CACCI Visionaries and Mr. Lowell Hawthorne, President and CEO of Golden Krust Bakery, CACCI Board Member, presented as Charge to Visionaries for the 2006 calendar year.
Mr. Andrews has served as Executive Vice president of the Haircut Hut Barbershop Franchise for the last decade.
Phil Andrews has served in many capacities during the last decade such as 100 Black Men Board of Directors, Roosevelt Chamber Commerce Board Member, and is currently the Chairman of Public Relations for The United Black Men of Queens County, Inc.
He has been honored as the Nassau Council Chamber of Commerce/Roosevelt Chamber of Commerce Small Business person of the year 1995 and Nassau Council Chamber of Commerce/West Indian Chamber of Commerce Small Business person of the year.
Mr. Andrews is also listed in Who’s Who in Black America, International Who’s Who, and has been featured in Community Journal Newspaper, Point of View Newspaper, Shop Talk Magazine, Amsterdam News, and Economic Forum Newspaper/Minority Business Review.
He is also featured in the book, 15 Years of Minority Business Development, written by Mr. Robert H. Adams, publisher of the Economic Forum Newspaper/Minority Business Review. Mr. Andrews has served on the Executive Board of the Hempstead NAACP and is certified as a Mentor by the 100 Black Men of America, Inc.
He also was a member of the Editorial Board of the Economic Forum Newspaper/Minority Business Review. He has been a past member of the Roosevelt Kiwanis Club, 100 Blacks in Law Enforcement Who Care, New York City Corrections Guardians, and Caribbean American Association in Correction. He also was awarded an Excellent Duty Medal and Commendation Medal by the NYC Department of Correction. Mr. Andrews also was a candidate for the Correction Officer's Benevolent Association Presidency, which is a 10,000 member union.
Mr. Andrews is a member and associate member of Black Women Enterprises (BWE), which is the largest Black owned women’s organization in New York State, whose primary goal is to strengthen Black owned women’s businesses. Mr. Andrews is also a trustee for the Hempstead Horn Newspaper in Hempstead. Mr. Andrews looks forward to serving the Caribbean American and African American community in the tri-state area.
