IPA Charities Supports Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Dinner
Buffalo Grove, IL, May 30, 2008 --(PR.com)-- IPA Charities plans to contribute $50,000 to the Illinois Commission On Diversity & Human Relations’ (ICDHR) 41st annual Martin Luther King, Jr. dinner.
The 2009 Martin Luther King, Jr. dinner will mark IPA Charities’ seventh year of participation.
IPA Charities’ donation will be used to provide plaques to award winners, fund the printing of all materials for the remembrance and auction and provide tickets to 150 local students. The contribution will also be used to fund the cost of equipment needed for sounding Dr. King speeches and showing various photographs of him.
Various members of International Profit Associates (IPA-IBA) personnel will contribute countless hours to ensure the success of the dinner. Additionally, IPA-IBA Managing Director, John Burgess, and IPA Charities President, Dana Burgess, will provide one high school senior with a $20,000 scholarship.
The annual Martin Luther King, Jr. dinner, originally started in 1971, celebrates the life and contributions of Dr. King. Since 1971, speakers from all over the nation and the world have participated in the event. The dinner has served to honor individuals, businesses and organizations who continue to promote the ideals held high by Dr. King.
The ICDHR is a 501(c)3 not for profit organization. The organization provides programs and services which address conflicts across racial and cultural lines, identify resources needed to address causes for human relations disparities and involve public and private sector leaders in creating “best practice” models that affect human relation policy.
