Blacksburg, VA, June 01, 2008 --(PR.com)-- ESS Technologies, Inc., who specializes in packaging line design and integration, has expanded their sales focus to include Mexico and Costa Rica. With more manufacturers moving their facilities to these countries, the company decided to broaden the scope of ESS Technologies sales and support to pharmaceutical, medical device, cosmetics, and consumer products manufacturers who have increased their manufacturing presence in Mexico and Costa Rica. The ESS sales team, including Walt Langosch, director of Sales & Marketing, and Southeast Regional Sales Manager, David Lugo, participated in a trade mission to Mexico in Mid-May of this year with the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP). While in Mexico, ESS met directly with a number of manufacturers and is exploring possible relationships with sales agents and distributors to represent the ESS Technologies, Inc. product line of monoblock fillers/cappers, robotic case packers, palletizing cells, and automated medical device assembly systems.
This is not the first expansion in sales focus for ESS Technologies, Inc. In 2007 David Lugo began covering Puerto Rico where ESS has several existing installations of Bergami packaging machinery, whose product line ESS Technologies will continue to represent in Puerto Rico and Costa Rica. According to Walt Langosch, “The decision to expand the company’s sales territory was based on the growing demand to automate and streamline the processes currently used in pharmaceutical packaging and medical device assembly.” ESS Technologies, Inc. specializes in designing and integrating high performance packaging lines that maximize productivity by incorporating automated infeed, collation, assembly, pick-and-place and loading/unloading systems. As a FANUC Authorized System Integrator, ESS has the expertise to bring automated processes to the packaging of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, cosmetics, and consumer goods. A second sales trip to Mexico is scheduled for June, and ESS hopes to begin exporting to these new sales areas by the end of 2008.
