Marleen Prater of Remixed Rooms Recognized as a Mover and Shaker in the Decorating Industry
Local decorating professional selected to serve on Development Council of The Society of Decorating Professionals (The SDP).
Canton, MI, June 01, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Marleen Prater of Remixed Rooms located in Canton has been selected to serve on the newly-created Development Council for the Society of Decorating Professionals. Prater was selected out of nearly 400 member of The Society of Decorating Professionals based in Chicago, Illinois to serve on the twelve-member Development Council. “I am extremely honored to have been asked to serve as a member of the council,” Prater said. “It’s an opportunity to influence the direction of one of the most dynamic and exciting organizations in our industry.”
According to SDP Co-Founder, JoAnne Lenart-Weary, Prater was tapped to serve on the council based on her demonstrated leadership within The SDP. “The leadership skills she displays are evident based on the successful business she has built in Metro Detroit and the way she shares success tips with her peers.” Lenart-Weary stated. “Marleen is an industry mover and shaker whose creativity, enthusiasm, and willingness to give back to others will serve our members well.”
During the one-year term, Prater will serve on The SDP Development Council focusing on the promotions committee. The SDP is the international voice of entrepreneurial decorating professionals, who are trained experts in a variety of interior decorating specialties, including full service decorating, interior redesign, real estate staging, color, and more. The SDP serves the public by providing connections to talented, creative, trustworthy, business owners. It serves its membership by raising the bar and setting a higher standard in certification standards, on-going education, and member networking opportunities.
