Carl Blackburn Neo Classics™ Debut at JA New York Summer Show 2006
Vintage-inspired California jeweler Carl Blackburn has emerged from his studios to announce the unveiling of his Neo Classics™ 2007 collection of handcrafted jewelry creations at the JA New York Summer Show, July 30th – August 2nd.
Beverly Hills, CA, April 05, 2006 --(PR.com)-- For the past several months visitors to Carl Blackburn’s online home have been tantalized by sketches and sneak previews of the jewelry designer’s new couture line of diamond and gemstone jewelry. At last the vintage-inspired California jeweler has emerged from his studios to announce the unveiling of his Neo Classics™ 2007 collection of handcrafted jewelry creations at the JA New York Summer Show, July 30th – August 2nd.
Overflowing with regal and feminine touches that recall an earlier age when refinement and elegance prevailed, the collection bridges the gap between time-honored jewelry design and the contemporary joie de vivre of the 21st century woman. Crafted in various combinations of platinum and 18K white, yellow, and rose gold, each diamond and sapphire piece displays the Old World hallmarks that have come to symbolize the Carl Blackburn brand. Blackburn’s signature hand-milgraining, hand-engraving, and fine filigree work have been taken to luxurious new heights, and are often harmonized by a Victorian-style open-work mesh that is remarkably contemporary.
While the creation of his latest line has been a demanding experience for the purpose-driven designer, Blackburn has no plans of slowing down anytime soon. The avid outdoorsman continues to seek out inspiration in the natural world around him (as well as in the jewelry archives of the past), while also contributing his voice to the international magazines of the Solitaire Media Group, where he has emerged as a global voice for sustainable luxury and handcraftsmanship.
“Our lives are a series of plateaus,” says Blackburn. “With the release of the Neo Classics™ collection I’ve reached an important one in my own life, one where I’ve tried to honor the extraordinary women of today with a collection that is both playful and enchanting. After all, the jewelry a woman wears should be as magical as she is.”
