New Commercial Energy Assessor Course from Energy Assessor College
Reading, United Kingdom, June 04, 2008 --(PR.com)-- One of the first Commercial Energy Assessor Courses in the UK is now running at the Energy Assessor College, in Reading and Birmingham.
Selected applicants undertake training at the Energy Assessor College as well as studying from home and completing a portfolio of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), gaining a professional Commercial Energy Assessor Award.
ABBE accredited course
Energy Assessor College has designed the course around the National Occupational Standards for Commercial Energy Assessors.
Following successful completion of this ABBE accredited course and the related Diploma applicants have a route in to the brand new market for issuing EPCs for commercial properties.
Energy Assessor College created the course in anticipation of legislation due to be passed on 1 October 2008 decreeing that any Commercial Property with a floor space of less than 2,500m2 to be issued with an EPC.
This will mean that thousands of properties, from high street shops to doctors’ and dentists’ surgeries, will need the services of a professional Commercial Energy Assessor in order to assess levels of heat-loss and CO2 emissions and issue EPCs.
Increased demand for commercial energy assessors
This demand opens the doors for anyone seeking a new career, either starting out on a new business venture, or seeking self-employment through an EPC panel management company, such as EAC’s associated company, Energy Assessments Direct.
With training centres for the Energy Assessor College in Reading and Birmingham, both equipped with relaxed learning environments and the latest presentation technology, anyone living in Southern and Central England and Wales has the opportunity to qualify as a Commercial Energy Assessor.
More information
Other courses available at either training centres include Multi-Skilled, Commercial and Domestic Energy Assessor.
