Celebrate Lubbock’s Four-Legged Friends at the 2nd Annual Vintage Township Posh Pooch Pageant
Lubbock, TX, June 06, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Vintage Township Announces the Annual Event to be Held at Founders’ Park June 7, 2008.
It’s time to celebrate our four-legged friends and enjoy an amazing day of fun with your dog. Vintage Township announces their Second Annual Posh Pooch Pageant to be held June 7, 2008 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Founders’ Park.
“Last year’s event was a blast,” said Susie Stell, Vintage Institute Director. “We had hundreds of people and numerous dogs come out for a great time of silly pet tricks, a dog show, a biggest dog contest, doggie demonstrations and even a master-pooch look alike contest. We’ll be repeating all of this and more.”
A number of local companies, such as Pampered Paws, will be out to pamper pets with a pet-i-cure palace, gourmet treats, dog fashions and even an ask-the-veterinarian booth. The Lubbock Humane Society, the Heart of the Plains Kennel Club and the Lubbock Police K-9 unit are lined up for agility and police demonstrations, as well as a showcase of dogs available for adoption. KLBK-TV’s own Terri Furman will be emceeing the event.
This is a day truly for the dogs. The entire Lubbock community is welcomed to come out on June 7 to the free event to be held at Vintage Township located south of 114th Street, between Quaker Avenue and Slide Road. Look for the tents to be set up the lawn of Vintage Township’s Founders’ Park. For even more information about this event, visit their website at poshpoochpageant.com.
Vintage Township is a whole new concept in living currently under construction in south Lubbock. The plans call for the development of a 321-acre, pedestrian-friendly community made up of a wide variety of traditionally-styled homes and businesses. Additional information is available at vintagetownship.com.
