SLCN.TV to Broadcast 2008 Best of SL Awards Live
Melbourne, Australia, June 04, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The nominees for the 2008 Best of SL Awards have been announced and the star studded BOSL Awards Presentation Ceremony will be broadcast live grid and worldwide on SLCN, Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 2 p.m. PST.
Frolic Mills, CEO of Best of SL Magazine, and Giela Delpaso, The Boulevard Agency's Public Relations Officer, will serve as Master and Mistress of Ceremonies. Mills stated, "When I started Best of SL Magazine and and the Best of SL Boulevard, I did it in the spirit of the immense talent that is available here in Second Life. We are in the company of some of the most gifted scripters, builders, communicators, fashion designers, furniture designers, photographers, plastic artists, hair and skin designers, amongst many other fantastic content creators. The BOSL Awards are truly a celebration of all the things that are right in this virtual world."
Artists were nominated by a panel of their peers based on criteria of originality, accuracy, overall design, degree of difficulty, and how the final product positively influences the lives of Second Life residents. Nominations were made in twenty-five categories ranging from Best Male and Female Designer, Best Photographer, Best Sim Developer on up to Avatar of the Year.
In an official press release this week from Best of SL Magazine, CEO Frolic Mills announced the presenters scheduled for presentation of the BOSL Awards include renown residents from various walks of Second Life - Scope Cleaver, Celebrity Trollop, Lilith Heart, Tuli Asturias, Una Ewing, Maximilian March, Starr Singer, Nyla Cheeky, Elisne Allen, Charlotte Bartlett, Digit Darkes, Torrid Midnight, Lumiere Noir, Sissy Pessoa, Patch Thibaud, Sergio Botha, Maggie Mahoney, Sky Everett, Maximilian Milosz, Callie Cline and Raven Pennyfeather.
"The BOSL Awards will be perhaps the largest congregation of talent in one space at the same time in Second Life. The show will have innovative special effects, showmanship, and should be a splendid time for both the live audience and the viewers at home," said Mills. The BOSL Awards Ceremony will be broadcast live on SLCN.TV, the Second Life Cable Network, and available on their website at www.slcn.tv.
