Mia Miata Performs at Artscape
The line-up has just been released from the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts, and Baltimore native Mia Miata is to be the first artist to perform at Artscape, the largest free, public arts festival in the country. Mia Miata to take the main stage on Friday July 18, 2008 at 4:00pm.

Mia Miata brings us a rich sound of Soul and Jazz to captivate a style she calls "Jazzy Soul." Jazzy Soul can be described as a fusion of Soul under the strong influence of traditional jazz heavily inspired by Sarah Vaughn, Nina Simone, Phyllis Hyman, Anita Baker, and Cassandra Wilson.
Her vocal talents have taken her across the globe performing in Bonn, Germany, London, England, Milan, Italy, across the United States and the Caribbean. She brings her amazing gift back home to where she was trained under the late Dr. Nathan Carter, the late Margaret Lindsey Johnson, and famed vocal coach Betty Ridgeway.
