Social Networking Website for the Armed Forces

Social Networking website for the Armed Forces - For those who served and the serving.

London, United Kingdom, June 11, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Warwickshire based company, Forces365.com, has launched the first social network website for ex and serving military personnel.

The site will mainly be used to connect friends together and reunite ex-servicemen and women, it is completely free to use. Features include photo galleries, blogs, comments, videos and a "salute" mechanism.

Another feature of the site, which has proved very popular in research, is the Remembrance memorial.

Speaking about Forces365.com, Managing Director, Jack Knowles, commented: "Forces365.com is ‘one of a kind’ - there is no other social network site focusing on the Armed Forces in the UK.

Today there is an estimated 13 million people who have some sort of connection with the country’s armed forces, either serving, having served or through family. Our site will be a great way to connect them together. It will be the ‘facebook’ for the forces."

As the site develops, Forces365 expect to be able to raise money for their favourite forces charities too. The Royal British Legion and Help for Hereos will be two particular charities that they want to support. As usage of the internet grows in the mature market, many of whom have served their country, it seems natural to provide a forces social network website.

Also with so many regular servicemen and women deployed worldwide, Forces365 can provide a valuable welfare role in linking them to their families back home.

"I have a lot of friends in the armed forces, on active duty, and I know it’s common for the families left behind to offer each other mutual support. The other advantage of Forces365.com is they can talk to ex-forces personnel who have been on active duty in the past - they can offer real, genuine advice to those who are left at home". says Jack.
