U.S. Sports Film Festival in Lake Placid Launches to a Standing Room Only Crowd, Anheuser-Busch and IZOD for Men Fragrance Honor Greenspan and Papale
U.S. Sports Film Festival in Lake Placid Launches with Success in New York City.
New York, NY, June 10, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Recently, nearly 250 people filled the room at Bernstein Wealth Management in New York City for the U.S. Sports Film Festival in Lake Placid Launch Party. Vice President of Global Media and Sports Marketing for Anheuser-Busch, Inc. and President and CEO of Busch Media Group Tony Ponturo inducted legendary filmmaker and Olympic documentarian Bud Greenspan into the U.S. Sports Film Hall of Fame. Greenspan is the inaugural inductee.
Former Philadelphia Eagles and inspiration for the 2006 film “Invincible” Vince Papale was presented the first-ever U.S. Film Festival Spartan Award by Frank Fazzinga III, Executive V.P. of Marketing for Gemini Cosmetics/IZOD for Men Fragrance. The Spartan Award is given in the spirit of recognizing inspiration in film.
“It was a great night and a great way to launch the U.S. Sports Film Festival in Lake Placid,” said USSFF board president Stephan Hartman. “The atmosphere overlooking New York City’s Central Park from the AllianceBernstein Building was a magnificent backdrop to celebrate what we believe will become a premiere event in the film industry. We owe a debt of gratitude to Anheuser-Busch, as well as Izod for Men Fragrance for their gracious sponsorship of this event.”
