The Third Annual Same Love, Same Rights™ GLBT Wedding and Family Expo, hosted by the Sheraton Commander Hotel in Cambridge, MA on Sunday April 30th, will feature a live performance by musician and activist Pamela Means.

Boston, MA, April 07, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Since 2004 RainbowWeddingNetwork.com (RWN) has produced the Same Love, Same Rights™ GLBT Wedding Expo at the Sheraton Commander in Harvard Square. Each year RWN has featured live music, food, fashion shows and over 50 GLBT friendly vendors for same-sex couples to enjoy. This year the RWN team takes the Same Love, Same Rights™ event to the next level by adding more music, special guest speakers, vendors and a benefit party. This year RWN will be honored by the presence of Pamela Means-singer, songwriter, poet and musician. “We are very excited to have Pamela involved in our event supporting marriage equality and the rights of GLBT families in the Boston area,” states RWN sales associate Michael Wilson.

Pamela Means is an acoustic folk and jazz performer who has mesmerized audiences across the country. Means has shared the stage with Ani DiFranco, Joan Baez, Neil Young, Shawn Colvin, Melissa Ferrick and the Violent Femmes. Girlfriends Magazine stated “Outspoken, acoustic guitar player Pamela Means is in a class by herself”. She will perform a short preview set at the Sheraton Commander Hotel on Sunday April 30 at 2 PM and she will headline the Same Love, Same Rights™ Benefit After Party that evening at Toast in Somerville. Means will be joined by local band Apple Betty and DJ Deja. Doors will open at 6 PM and ticket proceeds will go to benefit the Freedom To Marry Coalition of MA and Pathways to Wellness. “We feel the Freedom To Marry Coalition and Pathways to Wellness are wonderful, Boston-based organizations that support the GLBT community in many ways,” states RWN co-founder Marianne Puechl, “we are proud to be able to contribute to their work in any way we can.”

Also participating in the Same Love, Same Rights™ GLBT Wedding and Family Expo will be Bishop John Selders of the Amistad Church in Hartford, CT. Bishop Selders will lead a “Prayer for Equality” and speak on issues concerning faith and the GLBT community. A fashion show featuring the Ironsides Rugby team will be sponsored by Russo Tux. Also spotlighted will be the short film “Legal At Last”, a new documentary on marriage equality filmed and produced by Generations Video Stories. The Same Love, Same Rights™ GLBT Wedding and Family Expo takes place from 11 AM until 5 PM at the Sheraton Commander in Harvard Square and is FREE to the public. “Everyone is welcome at these events,” says RWN co-founder Cindy Sproul, “and we are so grateful for all the vendors and sponsors who go out of their way each year to support same-sex couples and their families.”
