Travel Industry Running Teams Raise Over £50,000 for the Family Holiday Association
Travel industry runners raised over £50,000 for the Family Holiday Association by competing in the London Marathon and the Malta Half Marathon this year.
London, United Kingdom, June 13, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The Family Holiday Association (FHA) can give around 100 families in need a break away by the sea thanks to the efforts of two travel industry running teams which raised over £50,000 for the charity.
The London Marathon team, sponsored by Tourism Malaysia, raised over £39,000 and included runners from Kuoni, British Airways, Hills Balfour Synergy, First Choice and Thomson.
Malta Tourism Authority sponsored the Malta Marathon/Half Marathon team, which raised over £12,500 and included teams from Bales Worldwide and Flagship Consulting.
The Family Holiday Association has places in running events throughout the year and welcomes members of the travel industry who are keen to take part to contact them via events@fhaonline.org.uk.
The FHA is the national charity which gives underprivileged children experiencing difficult circumstances the chance to have a break away with their family, usually by the UK seaside.
