Easy Automation Using Multilizer's Command Line Tool and Templates

The command line tool of Multilizer 2007 is used to automate recurrent localization tasks. To facilitate the automation, Multilizer 2007 offers the possibility of saving the settings for the tasks in templates: once the appropriate settings have been defined using the graphical user interface, they can be saved as a template and be used in repeatedly in the command line tool.

Helsinki, Finland, June 13, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Localization involves several recurring tasks. Multilizer's command line tool, ML7Build, is used to automate such tasks and it can be programmed to perform complex tasks with a single script. Writing the automation scripts is greatly simplified by using settings saved in the graphical user interface.

Automating recurrent localization tasks provides two advantages. First, performing tasks automatically saves time. Secondly, automated the process guarantees that they are performed exactly the same way every time thus making it possible to implement company policy and minimize the risk of error.

Multilizer 2007 Enterprise Edition ships with the ML7Build command line tool. To facilitate the automation process, Multilizer 2007 introduces the possibility of saving settings in templates for recurrent tasks, such as adding localizable files, importing and exporting translations, creating reports, checking the quality of the translations, and building localized files: once the appropriate settings for the various actions have been defined using the graphical user interface, they can be saved as a template and be used repeatedly in the command line tool. For example, the validation settings can be saved in a file thus making it easy to run the validation part of the process.
