Party Supply Company announces a four day work week to help employees with the rising cost of gas.
South Whitley, IN, June 15, 2008 --(PR.com)-- On Monday, June 9, 2008, officials at ShindigZ in South Whitley, Ind. announced their company would be going to a four 10 hour day work week for full-time employees. The four 10 hour day work week program will run from June 16 to August 2, and is strictly voluntary. Employees choosing to keep a five day work schedule will be allowed to do so.
Officials are offering the shortened work week in an attempt to help their employees cut their fuel costs. As the price of gas continues to rise, companies around the United States are looking at ways to help their employees cut their fuel cost. With this idea in mind, many companies have already gone to a four 10 hour day work week.
“In keeping with our philosophy of a creative and innovative workplace, we wanted to help our team members this summer with the recent increases in the cost of gasoline,” ShindigZ owner, Shep Moyle said. “With the average cost over $4 per gallon, we know this places an extra hardship on our team members. Since we attract team members from five counties, we want to do all we can to help.”
“By providing flexible four day work weeks, we hope to help our team members this summer deal with the high cost of fuel and to also provide them the opportunity for flexible days off for long weekends and time off with their family,” Moyle said.
