ASWA Board Names Susan R. Tripepi, Director

Fairlawn, OH, June 15, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Susan R Tripepi, has been named Director of the 2008-09 board of the American Society of Women Accountants. She is a member of the Akron/Canton Chapter in Ohio.

“ASWA is such a unique organization serving women both professionally and personally. I feel very privileged to have the opportunity to be a part of its leadership,” says Tripepi, who is a Recruiting Coordinator at Republic Engineered Products in Akron.

An ASWA member since 2000, Tripepi has served on the local chapter board as President, Treasurer, Membership Chair, Newsletter Chair and Webmaster. She was also a Regional Director and has served on the National Board since 2005, most recently as Communications Director.

Tripepi is also a member of the Executive Women Golf Association, Akron Chamber of Commerce, Knowledgeable Network of Women and is the newsletter chair for the Akron chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management.

ASWA is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to empowering women in the accounting and financial fields since 1938. ASWA, which will hold its 68th Annual Conference, as part of a joint conference with the American Woman’s Society of Certified Public Accountants (AWSCPA), in Dallas, Texas, Oct. 28-30, 2008, has 80 chapters and 4,000 members nationwide.
