Alliance of NYS ARTS Organizations Changes Its Name to NYS ARTS

NYS ARTS announced that after 33 years it is retiring the full name The Alliance of New York State Arts Organizations and will now officially be known simply as NYS ARTS.

Mattituck, NY, June 15, 2008 --(PR.com)-- This change affects their name only and was designed to make it easier to contact them. “The new streamlined logo and name has helped us communicate more efficiently and effectively”, said Veronica Claypool, Board President. “Our new logo and name better reflects our ongoing efforts to enhance the services we offer”, said Judith K. Weiner Executive Director.

In addition to the name change NYS ARTS offers new programs and services: discounts and special privileges with membership; Arts Summit discounts for all members; Gala ticket discounts; Arts Day complimentary parking; and discounts on all webinars and training programs. Plus, they have created new marketing opportunities and web links.

NYS ARTS continues to be engaged in providing professional training for arts leaders, technical assistance for arts organizations and advocacy leadership to increase public funding and advance public policy in the arts.

The value of NYS ARTS as a force in the field is widely respected – resulting in policies, positions and actions that advance the arts state wide. The Alliance of New York State Arts Councils was founded in 1975 and is a 501(c)3 funded by government grants, foundations, corporations and membership. The organization is located in Mattituck, NY and Warrensburg, NY.
