Kevin Smith Brings a Broad Range of Experience to ActionCOACH in Texas
Kevin Smith describes himself as a good “business fire-fighter” and is ready to extinguish the pains of small-to-medium sized businesses.
Las Vegas, NV, June 15, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Master Licensee Kevin Alft has named Kevin Smith as the newest ActionCOACH in Texas.
Kevin Smith’s office will be in The Woodlands, which is located in Montgomery County- a few miles north of Houston, Texas. He will be focusing on the regions of Spring, Conroe and Magnolia.
Smith heard about ActionCOACH a few years ago.
“I was considering another franchise opportunity but found that ActionCOACH had a much better recruitment process,” he said.
Smith describes himself as a good “business fire-fighter” and believes that he has the skill set and experience to be a successful Business Coach.
“I am good at understanding problems, finding and implementing solutions. I am not afraid to get my hands dirty; and having worked in 12 countries outside the United States, I have great international experience,” he said.
Smith has worked in the chemical industry, as both a technologist and a project manager. In 2005, he joined the petrochemical company Innovene (just before it was acquired by INEOS) as Planning and Performance Manager.
“This required a lot of financial planning, strategy development and setting of Key Performance Indicators or KPIs,” he said.
Smith’s career was marked by many accomplishments.
He joined the Phillip Townsend Associates start-up office in London in 1996 and helped take its revenue to over $ 1.4 million, before transferring to the Houston office.
At BP Chemicals, Smith was assigned a new research project (developing Ketonex, a specialty plastic material), which soon became their number one research project.
Tired of the corporate world and the ensuing politics, Smith decided to change his route in order to move ahead.
“I felt the need to break the mold, and leave the chemical industry along with its business cycles, and was looking for an opportunity to create some independent wealth. Becoming a business owner was the only way forward,” he said.
Smith was impressed by ActionCOACH.
“This is a truly professional, experienced and fun organization,” he said. “I am excited about mentoring business owners and helping them achieve their dreams by using my expertise along with ActionCOACH’s systems,” he said.
Active in the Fellowship of the Woodlands Church, Smith is also a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
ActionCOACH is the world’s number one business coaching firm, with more than 1,000 offices in 26 countries. To learn more, go to actioncoach.com.
