Inspiration Exhibition
New Orleans, LA, June 16, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The New Orleans Jazz And Heritage Gallery To Host: "Inspiration Exhibition: Original works created by local artists based upon the New Orleans African American Museum’s African Art Collection."
The Second Inspiration Exhibition will be held at the Jazz and Heritage Festival Gallery from June 21st t to August 1st 2008. The inspiration pieces are from the collection of the New Orleans African American Museum in Treme. It is being presented by the Master of Arts in Museum Studies Program at Southern University at New Orleans. It is supported by a grant from the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Foundation, Inc.
A reception with artists in attendance will be held Saturday June 21, 2008 5pm 8 pm at the Jazz and Heritage Gallery, 1045 North Rampart, New Orleans, LA. The reception is free and open to the public.
New Orleans artists participating in the show are Jeffry Cook, Cely Pedescleaux, Gailene St Amand, Rukiya, Dreama, Adewale Adenle, Haitham Eid, Myesha Francis, Michael Harris, Beryl Johns, Sara Fuhrer, Chad Kristian, Sheila Phipps, Deion Haywood, Rashida Ferdinand, Gus Bennett, Abdelrazek Eid, Cynthia Ramirez, Glenn Summers, Mankh, Sheleen Jones-Adenle.
