Five Henderson Franklin Attorneys Named in Florida Super Lawyers 2008 Magazine

Fort Myers, FL, June 19, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The law firm of Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A., is pleased to announce that Michael J. Corso, John A. Noland, Russell P. Schropp, Bruce M. Stanley, Sr., and Guy E. Whitesman have been named by Florida Super Lawyers magazine as top attorneys in Florida for 2008. Only five percent of the lawyers in the State are named by Super Lawyers. The multi-phase selection process includes a statewide survey, an independent evaluation, and a peer review of candidates.

Mr. Corso is chair of Henderson Franklin's Tort and Insurance Litigation division and president of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association. He focuses his practice in general litigation matters, including copyright/trademark infringement, product liability and the defense of non-medical professionals such as lawyers, accountants, architects, engineers and surveyors. Mr. Corso frequently lectures on legal and engineering malpractice risk management issues.

Mr. Noland is chair of Henderson Franklin's Commercial Litigation division and general counsel to several corporate clients. His representation of these corporate clients includes not only business litigation, but also transactional work such financing and employment law. Mr. Noland is a past president of the Rotary Club Fort Myers and now serves as chairman of Lee Healthcare Resources. He is a past member of the Board of Governors of the Florida Bar and currently is treasurer of the Florida Bar Foundation.

Mr. Schropp is chair of Henderson Franklin's Land Use, Zoning, and Environmental Law division and primarily represents property owners and others before local, regional, state and federal agencies. He is a member of the Real Estate Investment Society of Lee County, serves on the City of Fort Myers Board of Zoning Adjustments and the Nuisance Abatement Board and is an advisor for the YMCA’s Youth-in-Government Chapter at Fort Myers High School.

Mr. Stanley is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law and practices civil litigation of all types, with an emphasis on medical malpractice, aviation cases, products liability defense, and eminent domain. He lectures on risk management to health care groups and organizations. Mr. Stanley also has an agency practice dealing with licensing and disciplinary issues before the Florida Department of Health, primarily involving the Florida Boards of Medicine, Osteopathy, Podiatry and Nursing.

Mr. Whitesman is chair of Henderson Franklin's Business & Tax division and active with The Tax Section of The Florida Bar, currently serving as its treasurer and as member of its Executive Council. Locally, Mr. Whitesman is and has been active in the community, currently serving as trustee of the Edison-Ford Winter Estates Foundation, director of the Edison Pageant of Light, Inc. and is one of the founding trustees of the Jewish Community Foundation of Southwest Florida. He is also trustee emeritus and past president of the Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium, past president of the Rotary Club of Fort Myers South, and past president of the Jewish Federation of Lee County.
