B. L. Lauterbach is a middle school English and Social Studies teacher. A veteran teacher of twenty-three years, Lauterbach encourages her students’ writing by using much of her own to inspire their creativity. Many of her poems have appeared in anthologies across the nation; she is a graduate of Knox College and Bradley University in Illinois and has participated in doctoral courses from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. She believes that the pages are a blank canvas on which to draw from a talent heralded by many and matched only by an imagination that rises to the task. Home-Grown Experiences is the first in a series of recent pursuits, with work progressing quickly on the follow-up. Ms. Lauterbach resides with her husband and four dogs in Myrtle Beach, SC.
