Tribute Band and Rock Stars Unite for Charity Single Release
Scottish tribute band The Complete Stone Roses, along with New Order bassist Peter Hook and Inspiral Carpets keyboardist Clint Boon have joined forces to raise money for cancer research charity CRUK by releasing a reworked cover of legendary New Order / Joy Division song "Love Will Tear Us Apart" due out on Monday 23rd June 2008.

Scots tribute band "The Complete Stone Roses" recently joined forces with "New Order" and former "Joy Division" bassist "Peter Hook" to record a version of the indie classic "Love Will Tear Us Apart" to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.
The band widely recognised as one of the leading cover acts currently performing in the UK have already raised £17,000 ($35,000) for Cancer Research UK and also hope to raise over £10,000 ($20,000) from the release of the single.
The single co-produced with "Hooky and the band members", also features guest recording appearances from both himself (Peter Hook) and Inspiral Carpets keyboardist and XFM DJ "Clint Boon", the track was recorded at "Parr Street studios" in Liverpool which has seen many a great artist/band pass through their doors, bands such as "Coldplay", "Echo and The Bunnymen" and even "New Order " themselves have all opted to record at this now legendary recording studio.
Peter Lamb, managing director for "PL Management" and manager for "the complete stone roses" said "the band wanted to raise awareness and funds for Cancer Research UK as we all know someone who has been affected by Cancer."
Gary Kernahan, Area Volunteer Manager for Cancer Research UK said: "Cancer Research UK currently spends over £27 million each year in Scotland alone on ground breaking research. This vital research would not be possible without the support of people like the Complete Stone Roses. We are extremely grateful to the band and to everyone who is generously supporting them."
This re-worked, and brand new, version will be released on "Pet Lamb Records" and be available for download from Monday 23 June 2008 from online stores such as and including, emusic, napster, 7digital plus many more. Fans can also pre-order their copy by texting the word "ROSES" to "78789"
