Website Starts Putting British Bloggers on the Map

London, United Kingdom, June 20, 2008 --(PR.com)-- It is getting easier for British people to find blogs about their local areas, thanks to a new map of UK blogs being launched today by local community website Localmouth. The map (see http://www.localmouth.com/blogmap) covers everywhere in England, Scotland and Wales and shows who is blogging where.

Localmouth's map of British blogs currently plots the locations of 60 blogs, ranging from St. Mabyn Village News, a blog about life in a small village in Cornwall, to Scottish Natterings Edinburgh Happenings, a blog written by a mother and daughter team in Edinburgh. Visitors can submit more blogs, so the map should become increasingly useful over time.

Matt Collins, the founder of Localmouth, described how he came up with the idea: "We had all this information about local blogs and hadn't seen anyone else doing the obvious thing of mapping where blogs were being written, so I just thought 'why not?'"

Any authors of blogs about places in England, Scotland or Wales can get their blogs added to the map by visiting the Localmouth website at http://www.localmouth.com
