Spark Integration Technologies Inc. Selected as Winner of the Most Innovative Security Products and Services in the Information Assurance and Security Software category at the 5th Annual The Security Summit on June 4-5 in San Diego, CA.
Vancouver, Canada, June 21, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Spark Integration Technologies Inc. (Spark), a developer of interoperability software, today announced it won the title of “Most Innovative Security Product” in the Information Assurance and Security Software category at the 5th annual The Security Summit on June 4-5 in San Diego, CA. Over 30 companies representing five nations participated in the competition judged by an international panel of security experts. Spark’s DIOS™ was selected as the top product because of its innovation, direct applicability to current needs in the market, and “dual-use” in the private and government sectors.
“We are extremely pleased with the outcomes of the Security Summit. Earning this recognition is especially gratifying because the elite judging panel was comprised of tech savvy security experts from government and industry sectors around the world,” said Harbir Boparai, co-founder and CEO.
Spark’s DIOS is a middleware suite designed to simplify integration between highly disparate software and hardware components and systems that may use different specifications, programming languages, operating systems, hardware architectures, and network topologies. Currently in the late R&D and evaluation phase, Spark’s technology is generating heavy interest from the defense and security sectors.
“Across the board, this year’s group of dual-use technologies were the strongest and most impressive yet,” said Michael B. Jones, President of The Security Network. “Being selected as the winning product among such a high-level of competition is testament to Spark’s focus on innovation and effectiveness that will impact the security market for many years.”
Produced by The Security Network, a San Diego-based non-profit dedicated to “Fostering Innovation through Collaboration” to enhance regional and international security, The Security Summit is focused on promoting the rapid utilization of innovative, dual-usage security products and services from around the world to support the $1.4 trillion security market.
Spark Integration Technologies Inc. (formerly Spark Robotics Technology Inc.) was founded in 2006 by a group of graduates from the University of British Columbia. The company is focused on the development and licensing of interoperability and integration middleware and tools for government and industry in a wide variety of applications.
