While many stores specializing in plus size clothing are spreading across the United States, Canadian consumers haven’t been as lucky. With only 2 national chain stores, Addition Elle and Penningtons, Canadian women must venture online to find their size, and style.

All of that is about to change. Jennifer Guy, from Kelowna, BC, has just released “The Curvy Woman’s Online Shopping Guide”; a guide filled with links, reviews, descriptions and more, to make the experience easier for her and millions of other “curvy women”.
“When I first ventured online, I thought it would be easy to find beautiful, stylish clothes. I was wrong. I spent hours wading through stores that only carried one or two plus size items or wouldn’t even ship to Canada” says The Curvy Woman’s Guide creator Jennifer Guy.
That’s where The Curvy Woman’s Guide is different. “I spent anywhere from 30 minutes to 5 hours on each of the websites in our guide” says Jennifer. The reviews of over 180 merchants, cross referenced into 15 different style categories, for women sizes 14+, include descriptions of the style of clothing, availability of sizes, shipping and return policies, price range, and ease of navigation. “Basically, we’ve done the sorting for the consumer, who only needs to browse the reviews, and pick a site to visit!”
The Curvy Woman’s Online Shopping Guide was created to make the process of finding and purchasing the perfect outfit as simple for plus size women as it is for straight sizes and judging from the content, updated bi yearly for it’s members, it will create a positive, ongoing, online shopping experience.
